The Norwegian national team put one foot forward during the 2026 World Cup, after its large victory over its Estonian guest, 4-1, Thursday November 13, 2025, in the eighth round of the ninth group of European qualifiers.

The Norwegian team took the lead in the 50th minute thanks to Alexander Sorloth, and two minutes later the same player scored the second goal.

Erling Haaland, the star of the Norwegian national team and its all-time top scorer, scored the third and fourth goals in the 56th and 62nd minutes, while the Estonian national team scored its only goal through Robbie Sarma in the 64th minute.

The Norwegian national team increased their score to 21 points at the top of group nine, six points ahead of the second-placed Italian national team, before the end of the qualifiers.

On the other hand, the balance of the Estonian national team froze at four points in fourth place.

Later on Thursday, the Italian national team will face their Moldovan counterpart, in the eighth round of the group.

The winner of the group will qualify directly for the World Cup finals scheduled for next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
